Scott Williams said in a signed affidavit that his wife, Barbara, pulled a .22-caliber rifle on him while he was preparing for a shower Saturday morning and fired a shot, missing him, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported Monday.
"I'll kill you," Scott Williams quoted his wife as saying in the affidavit. "I hid behind the wall (and) then she left the room and I locked the door."
However, Williams now says his wife -- who was charged with felonious assault, domestic violence and using a weapon while intoxicated -- is not as dangerous as the incident made her seem.
"This just got totally blown out of proportion," he said, "and I'd like to see her be able to come home."
"She's a good wife," he said.
Barbara Williams' bail was set Monday at $100,000.
