DES MOINES, Iowa, May 17 (UPI) -- Two teenagers apparently desperate for a place to have sex or "make out" broke into a vacant home in Des Moines, Iowa, police allege.

A Des Moines police report alleged that when police officers investigated a reported burglary at a vacant home this week, they found two East High School sophomores inside, The Des Moines Register reported Saturday.

"We could hear people upstairs so we ordered them to show themselves," responding officers wrote in the report. "About 30 seconds later, (the unidentified 16-year-old boy and girl) came out and were getting dressed.

"So they broke into the house to have sex or at least to 'make out.'"

The two teenagers were taken to their school, where they allegedly skipped classes to visit the home, and school staff said they would contact their parents.

The Register said police had no plans to file any formal charges against the two teens, since the owner of the home was unable to be contacted regarding the incident.
