Pastor says to forgive skull pot smokers

HUMBLE, Texas, May 12 (UPI) -- A Humble, Texas, pastor called on his congregation to forgive four teens accused of unearthing a dead body to smoke marijuana out of its skull.

Pastor Scott Jones said it is the church's duty to forgive the teens accused of using a dead boy's skull as a marijuana bong, KHOU-TV, Houston reported Monday.

"Let the judicial system do what it's going to do. But as for us, as a congregation, it's our responsibility to release those guys into the hands of God and the hands of the judges," Jones said.

The news report said Grace Church is responsible for taking care of the old Humble Negro Cemetery, where the teens allegedly dug up the 11-year-old boy's body.

Three of the four suspects have been taken into police custody and the final teen could potentially face charges, KHOU-TV said.

Romantic teen runs afoul of girl's dad

SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, Ohio, May 12 (UPI) -- Court records showed that an Ohio teenager apparently wasn't aware his girlfriend wasn't home when he slipped into her bedroom and ran into her father.

The youth, Jesse Laboiteaux, 18, wound up with two black eyes and faced assault and burglary charges in what started out as a romantic rendezvous with his 15-year-old girlfriend.

The Cincinnati Enquirer said Monday that the young lady was spending the night at a friend's house when Laboiteaux crawled into her Sycamore Township home through a window.

He apparently made enough noise that the girl's father, Larry Hackett, went to investigate. Laboiteaux was able to fight his way out the door, but he was quickly apprehended by police.

Speedo-wearing beach bum sues cops

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla., May 12 (UPI) -- A Florida man said he is filing suit against the Lee County sheriff's department after an officer ticketed him for sporting a Speedo on the beach.

Bob Hezzelwood, 61, said in all his years of spending time at Bonita Beach in Bonita Springs, Fla., he has never been confronted about wearing a Speedo bathing suit, WKMG-TV, Orlando, Fla., reported Monday.

Hezzelwood said he is suing the sheriff's department because he believes an officer went against his civil rights by unjustly issuing him a trespassing citation and asking him not to come back to the beach, WKMG said.

The citation, which Hezzelwood received more than a year after being warned about not wearing his Speedo on the beach, said he was in trouble for "exposed scrotum," and said he could "Never return to Bonita Beach Main Access," Naplesnews.com reported.

Even though the trespass warning was thrown out by a judge about a year ago, Hazzelwood said he still wants to sue because the officer exaggerated his claims.

Huge cow may be Britain's biggest bovine

CHARD, England, May 12 (UPI) -- The operators of an Animal Sanctuary in England said they believe their 1.25-ton, 6 1/2-foot tall steer named Chilli is Britain's biggest bovine.

Chilli was less than a week old when he began living at the Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Chard, England, in 1999 after being abandoned, The Daily Telegraph reported Monday.

"Although he weighs over a ton he is quite lean and not as fat as some of his companions. We don't know what has made him so tall," sanctuary manager Naomi Clarke said.

Clarke said Chilli is "very friendly and gentle," despite its intimidating stature.

The sanctuary has submitted their big-bovine claim to the Guinness World Records and is waiting to see if Chilli sets a record.
