NAUGATUCK, Conn., March 27 (UPI) -- A Connecticut corrections officer faces 20 years in prison for running a 40-yard dash in high heels while receiving workers' compensation for a back injury.

Garrett Dalton of Naugatuck was arrested Monday and charged with felony workers' compensation fraud, the (Waterbury, Conn.) Republican-American reported Thursday. He was released pending an April 8 court appearance.

Dalton, 41, stopped working June 11, 2007 when he hurt his back picking up a container of soap and toilet tissue at the New Haven Correctional Center. He reportedly received $5,227 in compensation until Nov. 14, 2007 upon his return to his job.

Dalton is accused of running a 40-yard dash in a dress and high heels on Oct. 17, 2007 during a WPLR-FM radio contest for Hannah Montana concert tickets.

A television crew recorded Dalton taking part in the event and his boss saw his picture in the newspaper, the Republican-American reported.
