ST. PETERSBURG, Colo., March 27 (UPI) -- A Florida cab driver fought off a pair of robbers with a pocket knife and now she plans to upgrade to a box cutter.

Shasta Anderson told the St. Petersburg Times that she is pretty sure she cut into the muscle of one of the bandits even though no blood was found in her vehicle.

"From now on I will carry box cutters because the knife wasn't nearly sharp enough," Anderson said Thursday.

Anderson picked up the pair Wednesday night. When they reached their destination, one of the men announced that he had a gun and demanded money.

She refused and stabbed him in the arm when he reached for her cash stash. The pair got away with her purse instead.
