At the beginning of his shift, a supervisor entered the room while arguing with another manager and then reported Jack Morales to her boss, KENS-TV in San Antonio reported.

"Sitting there, waiting, looking at my paperwork. I was eating a half-eaten taco," Morales said.

The Civil Service Commission decided Thursday that Morales' taco eating was the last straw in a long history of insubordinate behavior at work over his past 11 years as a city employee.

The city ruled Morales should have eaten the taco while on a break from work at the San Antonio Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
