LONDON, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- A series of events being held in Kent and Whitby Abbey by English Heritage will pay tribute to Britain’s most feared pirates.

Organizers are inviting anyone with the surnames Morgan, Rackham, Bonny, Read, Kidd or Teach, to come to the event and even get in free of charge, The Telegraph reported Friday.

"What could be more exhilarating than finding you are related to one of Britain's most colorful characters," asked Abigail Baker, spokeswoman for the genealogy research organization Achievements Ltd.

The six most famous British pirates being honored at the events are, Sir Henry Morgan; William Kidd; Edward "Blackbeard" Teach; John "Calico Jack" Rackham; Anne Bonny and Mary Read.
