ORLAND PARK, Ill., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Police are seeking a man who wore a Santa suit to hold up a teller at a suburban Chicago bank and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The "Santa bandit" was described as being white, about 5-foot-10, weighing 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. The teller told detectives the man had a deep voice but there was no word whether he wore a white beard with the Santa suit during the holdup Tuesday evening at the First Midwest Bank in Orland Park, Ill.

"He walked in, got the money and left," a police sergeant told the Chicago Tribune.

He did not display a weapon. No one was injured.

The FBI is investigating a separate robbery at a branch of the NLSB bank in Homer Glen a few days before Christmas. That robber wore blue jeans, work boots and an overcoat but had a similar description as the "Santa bandit."
