Brown, who was released Friday, told the New York Post Sunday all she did in prison was pray.

"Night and day I had nothing else to do but pray," she told the newspaper.

Brown, who was born Inga Marchand, denied being a jailhouse convert, saying, "People don't really know, but my foundation has always been in Christ."

Even while on tour, she always attended church on Sundays, she said.

Brown served eight months of a year-long sentence for violating probation for 2006 assault conviction.

"I really am humbled to be home to restore my life and embrace my maturation," she told the Post.
