LEEDS, England, March 28 (UPI) -- British soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae thanked her fans Friday for their support in the days following her musician husband's untimely death in Leeds, England.

Saxophonist Jason Rae, 31, was found dead in the couple's home last Saturday.

An autopsy proved inconclusive and authorities are awaiting the results of toxicology tests before determining the cause of his death. An inquest into his death began Thursday.

"Corinne Bailey Rae and her family have been touched by the huge amount of love and support that's flooded in from all over the world, and that is really helping all of us cope at this terrible time," Bailey's manager Bob Miller said in a statement issued to People.com.

"Corinne is also very grateful for the privacy she is being given and the respect that has been paid to herself and Jason."

The Raes married in 2001.
