LAS VEGAS, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Lindsay Lohan says she's growing up and putting her wild ways behind her.

"I've gone through a lot, and I'm just a different person now," said Lohan, who recently finished a several-month stay at a Utah rehabilitation center after being arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of drunken driving in late July.

In May, Lohan crashed her Mercedes-Benz convertible into a curb and police alleged they found a small amount of cocaine in the car. Lohan faced multiple charges but wound up serving just 84 minutes in jail.

"It's amazing, everything's going so well," Lohan, 21, told Mix 94.1 FM in Las Vegas when she called the radio show Friday in an effort to obtain tickets to a sold-out Hannah Montana concert, People reported Saturday.

"I think my life is different now, and it's changed, and I'm growing up," Lohan told the radio hosts, noting she is busy recording a new album.

Lohan said she wants to visit Africa on a humanitarian mission. "I really love children and it would be nice to give back," she said, People reported.
