LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- "Clerks" and "Dogma" filmmaker Kevin Smith and "Knocked Up" star Seth Rogen are uniting for a bawdy new big-screen comedy.

Written and directed by Smith, "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" will also star "Scrubs" actress Elizabeth Banks and long-time Smith collaborator Jason Mewes, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Smith told the entertainment industry trade paper he wrote the lead role of the film with Rogen in mind.

Rogen and Banks also appeared in the blockbuster, "The 40-Year-Old Virgin."

"Zack and Miri" is slated to begin shooting in January in Pittsburgh, Variety.com said.
