MIAMI, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Telemundo actor Miguel Varoni is set to guest star on the hit U.S. comedy "My Name is Earl," marking his English-language television debut.

In an upcoming episode, the Colombian actor will play Catalina's childhood sweetheart, Javier, who unexpectedly pops back into her life.

"It was a great surprise to receive this invitation; if they would have told me two weeks ago that I was going to be here, I wouldn't have believed it," Varoni said in a statement."I truly enjoyed doing my scenes, and working with the series' amazing cast and crew."

Varoni is best-known for playing Pedro Coral in the Spanish-language television phenomenon "Pedro el Escamoso."

The actor has appeared in numerous Spanish television productions, including "Los Cuervos," "La Potra Zaina," "El Angel de Piedra" and "Las Juanas."

After his tremendous success as Pedro, Varoni became an exclusive Telemundo talent and also starred in "Te Voy a Ensenar a Querer" and "Seguro y Urgente."
