NASHVILLE, Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Alabama, Glen Campbell and the late DeFord Bailey were announced Monday as the latest members of the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame inductions will take place Nov. 19 during "The 39th Annual CMA Awards," which is being broadcast live on CBS, the Country Music Association announced in a news release.

Bailey, who was a star of the Grand Ole Opry during the Depression, will be inducted in the "Career Achieved National Prominence Prior to World War II" category, which is awarded every third year, the CMA said.

Campbell will be inducted in the "Career Achieved National Prominence Between World War II and 1975" category and Alabama will be the first inducted in the new "Career Achieved National Prominence Between 1975 and the Present" category created this year.

The CMA's Hall of Fame panel of electors is comprised of more than 300 anonymous voters appointed by the CMA Board of Directors.
