Atlantic Aviation, the industry's No. 2 airport-services company, agreed to pay $89.5 million to take over aircraft fueling and related operations at Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, N.Y., from much smaller Supermarine Aviation Contract Services Inc., The Poughkeepsie (N.Y.) Journal reported Thursday.

Atlantic, a division of Macquarie Infrastructure Co. of Sydney, Australia, serves 41 U.S. airports, its Web site said.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates New York City's three major airports, singled out Stewart, 55 miles north of New York, as New York's likely fourth major airport.

The agency has budgeted $150 million to develop a fourth New York metropolitan airport.

Stewart operator National Express Group has put its 99-year lease up for sale and says it plans to reach a deal by March. National Express said it is talking with several possible buyers, including the Port Authority.
