Plagiarism Project gives Web site audio

NEW YORK, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- The Columbia Law Library Music Plagiarism Project in New York City has a Web site that features audio samples of disputed songs.
The audio files compare songs that were involved in landmark copyright cases such as Gilbert O'Sullivan's "Alone Again (Naturally)" with "Alone Again" by the rapper Biz Markie, reported the New York Times Saturday.
The Web site not only includes the audio files, but also the court decisions. The Web site's authors provide commentary.
In the "Alone Again" case, the Web site authors commented that the judge missed that "apart from the gibberish chanted over O'Sullivan's ostinato, there is nothing original in Biz Markie's song or his recording except his performance of it."
