Late U.S. metals spot prices

NEW YORK, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Following are Monday's latest spot metal market prices. Prices do not necessarily represent prices at which transactions have actually occurred.

Aluminum, New York Merchants, 99.7 percent pure ingots 63.95 cents per pound.

Antimony, merchant, refined in alloy, $0.55-0.57 lb.

Copper, electrolytic wire bars, 67.1 cents per pound, scrap wire No. 2 N.Y., 54 cents per pound.

Lead, common corroding 41.52 cents per pound.

Magnesium, 99.8 percent, ingot 180.00 c-lb.

Manganese, 99.7 percent, boxed regular 115.00-117.00 c-lb.

Mercury, $150.00-$170.00 76-lb. flask.

Nickel, briquettes delivered to customers, $3.60-3.65 per pound.

Palladium, N.Y. dealer - $446.00 per troy ounce.

Platinum, soft, 99.5 fine, producer - $483.00-$486.00 dealer-approx. per troy ounce.

Steel, No. 1 heavy melting Philadelphia scrap $565 per ton.

Tin, N.Y. American Metals Market. ex-dock - $191.50.

Titanium, aircraft quality, 8 1/8 inch round rotating billet, f.o.b. shipping point $5.00-6.00 lbs., domestic sponge 99.3 percent, domestic and imported duty-paid $1.25 lb.

Tungsten ore $45.00-55.00 per ton.

Zinc, special high grade, U.S. -- 40.29-40.79 c-lb.

Zinc, prime western, U.S. -- 39.29-40.29 c-lb.
