Under the $25 million General Services Administration mission oriented business integrated services contract, CACI will develop with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense/Networks and Information Integration, a governance framework to provide improved communications capabilities. Officials say the contract will give top defense, homeland security and administration officials, including the president, the ability to communicate during mission critical needs.
The contract is a follow-on deal with the OASD/NII and allows CACI to expand on the company's previous 10 years of network services and enterprise information technology framework.
"This important award supporting the Office of Assistant Secretary of Defense/Networks and Information Integration enables CACI to make a difference in a critical national arena," Bill Fairl, CACI president of U.S. operations, said in a statement. "Helping ensure that national leaders can communicate and make actionable decisions in time of crisis is truly vital to our country's security."
