CHANTILLY, Va., Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Virginia-based VideoNEXT has partnered with SightLogix Inc. in an effort to provide a bundled video surveillance offering.

VideoNEXT's security management solutions combined with SightLogix Inc.'s outdoor automated video surveillance enable the two companies to provide pre-emptive, mission-critical applications.

"The SightLogix SightSensor is an intelligent video surveillance solution that is a true complement to our Security Knowledge Manager," videoNEXT President and Chief Executive Officer Joseph Costa said in a statement. "With SightLogix offering 10 times the coverage area and one tenth the false alarms at less than half the cost of other surveillance methods, we are able to integrate a powerful surveillance solution that provides our government customers with a reliable detection and surveillance management solution."

VideoNEXT's SKM software uses an organization's existing security and data infrastructure to provide most scalable IP surveillance and security solutions.

The low-bandwidth wireless network SightLogix Enterprise Security system integrates camera control, image processing, object tracking and behavior analysis inside the camera enclosure.

"Both SightLogix and videoNEXT work with mission-critical security applications in the DoD and federal government market," Larry Barfield, vice president of government programs for SightLogix, said in a statement.

"VideoNEXT was a logical partner for us. They are able to provide high-end video surveillance management systems by using the output from our intelligent, SightSensor solution. VideoNEXT knows how to display, store and analyze the data and handle alarms, allowing us to provide the surveillance aspect and videoNEXT to provide the protection."
