Home of Colorado teen Dylan Redwine's dad searched again

VALLECITO, Colo., Aug. 15 (UPI) -- The father of a Colorado boy who disappeared last fall says police removed carpeting and a fireplace poker during a search of his home this week.

Mark Redwine told KUSA-TV, Denver, officers from several law enforcement agencies served a search warrant on his La Plata County home Wednesday as part of the ongoing investigation into the death of his 13-year-old son, Dylan.

Dylan disappeared in November and his remains were found not far from his father's home in June. Mark Redwine has not been publicly named as a suspect in the boy's death but investigators have searched his house three times, KUSA said.

It was not clear what prompted Wednesday's search, but Redwine said the officers took possession of sections of wood flooring and carpeting, a cellphone, clothing and the poker.
