LONDON, June 12 (UPI) -- Lucent named six European companies to resell its security portfolio to Internet service providers and telecom carriers in the region.
The six value added distributors are: Exer Datacom of France, Spain's Micro BR, Redco Telematica of Italy, Poland's Veracomp, VUMS DataCom of the Czech Republic, and Britain's Wick Hill.
"Signing up new value added distributors will give us better coverage and greater reach in Europe's fragmented, highly competitive security market", said Jan Zuurbier, director of global business partners at Lucent Technologies Europe. "Through VADs, and their network of experienced security reseller partners, we can extend our expertise and leverage our Bell Labs innovations to address the complex security needs of enterprise customers."
