Lucent honored by AT&T as supplier

MURRAY HILL, N.J., June 8 (UPI) -- Lucent Technologies was recognized Thursday as an outstanding supplier to U.S. telecom giant AT&T.

Lucent received one of the 49 supplier recognition awards from AT&T over the past year.

"We are proud of our long-standing tradition of providing unparalleled products and services to our business and residential customers," Maureen Merkle, president of AT&T's procurement group, said in a news release. "We're successful on that front in large part thanks to supplier partners like Lucent Technologies that consistently go above and beyond the call of duty," she added.
