Speedus, Verizon suit trial date set

NEW YORK, June 8 (UPI) -- A Jan. 22, 2007, trial date has been set for a patent suit between Speedus' unit CellularVision Technology & Telecommunications against Verizon Wireless.

CT&T filed the complaints May 11 in the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of Florida against Cellco Partnership, asserting Verizon Wireless is infringing on two patents, 5,949,793 and 4,747,160, which covers cellular transmission using simultaneous analog and digital technology in the same bandwidth and the use of cellular systems to deliver television signals.
