Sagem to re-sell SR Telecom WiMax gear

MONTREAL, June 8 (UPI) -- WiMax equipment produced by Canada's SR Telecom will be marketed and re-sold in Europe and Africa by Sagem Communications.

SR Telecom said Thursday that the sales agreement with Sagem involves its symmetryMX line of WiMax products for voice, video and data applications.

SR Telecom President William Aziz said the agreement "provides SR Telecom with strong representation to broadband service providers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa."

Sagem is an arm of the SAFRAN Group and has an established reputation in the European broadband sector, the announcement said.
