XM to broadcast World Cup live

WASHINGTON, June 6 (UPI) -- XM Satellite Radio will have exclusive radio coverage of the World Cup matches, including the opening match June 9.

The network said it will be the exclusive English-language radio broadcaster, either satellite or terrestrial, in the United States to bring coverage of the opening Germany vs. Costa Rica match in Munich.

The broadcast team will include former U.S. World Cup team players Jeff Agoos, Thomas Dooley and Christopher Sullivan. The network's Spanish-language sports channel XM Deportivo will also have live coverage of the match.
