France Telecom converges Orange

PARIS, May 31 (UPI) -- France Telecom launched a single brand for Internet, television and mobile communication in France and Britain.

The Orange brand will converge the three media under a single name from June 1.

"The new Orange, brought by a new France Telecom, embodies the efforts we have made over the last year to move toward greater convergence and give our customers the opportunity to enhance and simplify their daily lives, both at home and at work," Didier Lombard, chairman of France Telecom, said in a news release.

The company is converging Orange's services under a single portal, www.orange.fr, and subscribers will be receiving a single bill for the three services.
