Telkomsel picks McAfee for Net protection

JAKARTA, May 31 (UPI) -- Indonesia wireless provider Telkomsel has selected McAfee's IntruShield to protect its network against hackers and virus attacks.

McAfee said Wednesday it had already deployed 11 IntruShield sensors along the Telkomsel network, which is the largest wireless network in Indonesia.

"Since installing IntruShield, the number of attempted attacks has been significantly reduced," Telkomsel IT Manager Saptono Agus said in a news release.

McAfee said its system is has a low false-positive rate that allows it to block threats in real time without interrupting the flow of legitimate traffic.
