Vodafone buys out Telsim assets

LONDON, May 25 (UPI) -- Britain's Vodafone said it has completed buying out the assets of Turkey's Telsim.

The British carrier had announced its plan to buy out the assets of the Turkish group from the Turkish Savings and Deposit Insurance fund last December.

Telsim is Turkey's second-largest global satellite mobile operator with about 8.7 million customers.
