Moto Q on the market May 31

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., May 23 (UPI) -- Verizon Wireless and Motorola Inc. announced Monday the release of its anticipated Moto Q starting May 31.

Only available to Verizon Wireless subscribers, the QWERTY Smartphone builds upon Motorola's ultra-thin RAZR at 11.5 mm and runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 software, putting a "mini notebook" in subscribers' pockets, the companies said.

The all-in-one convergent phone includes integrated Bluetooth 1.2 wireless technology and accessories, synchronization with e-mail, calendar and contacts, convenient access to Yahoo!, Hotmail and other POP3, as well as standard desktop document views supported by Word, Adobe Acrobat, Excel and PowerPoint.

It also uses a thumbwheel to enhance the navigation experience and features dual stereo-quality speakers, password authentication and EV-DO access for fast downloads of data, audio and video formats.

The new phone is available online May 31 on verizonwireless.com and in Verizon Wireless Communications stores June 5.
