NYLON magazine comes to MySpace

LOS ANGELES, May 23 (UPI) -- MySpace announced Monday a partnership with NYLON Magazine to bring the magazine online.

This digital and print integration will bring the magazine's 7th annual NYLON "Music Issue" to the social-networking site allowing users to interact with the magazine by incorporating profiles of feature and layout subjects throughout every article and department section of the magazine.

It will also allow users to download an entire issue prior to newsstand distribution.

The issue will include a feature on MySpace's authority in the music industry and effect on popular culture, special music tracks, Q&A with popular bands such as Gnarls Barkley and Panic! At the Disco, DIY guide to creating a vivid MySpace profile and a music directory of profiles of artists, unsigned bands and industry influencers.

"Our collaboration has blurred the boundaries between print and new media," stated Marvin Scott Jarrett, NYLON's editor in chief and co-founder. "We have created something very special and new. You can literally listen to the issue online."
