Tribune acquires ForSaleByOwner.com

CHICAGO, May 22 (UPI) -- Tribune Interactive announced it has acquired popular nationwide real estate Web site ForSaleByOwner.com.

The popular real estate site, with some 1.6 million average monthly unique visitors, provides a database of properties, offers homebuying and selling advice and information on financial and moving services, as well as charges an advertising fee for homeowners to list a home for sale on the site, among other things.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
