Siemens wins British business award

MUNICH, Germany, May 5 (UPI) -- The Siemens Communications Group received the British Queen's award for enterprise for its personal communication portal.

The award for enterprise is one of the most high-profile for business. The queen recognized the German company's HiPath portal, which allows flexible working for more than 110,000 users in British government departments.

The award was given in recognition of Siemens' Life Works concept, which removes barriers between home and corporate communications to allow seamless connection between locations, networks and devices.
