PETALUMA, Calif., March 23 (UPI) -- Frozen food company Amy's Kitchen has voluntarily recalled more than 73,000 cases of product amid concerns of organic spinach in the items causing listeria.

The company was notified by one of its suppliers about the possible presence of listeria in the spinach and then notified the FDA of the recall.

Listeria can cause high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea and in some cases death. It's also been known to cause miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.

The list includes over a dozen products distributed across the United States and Canada.

Amy's Kitchen has not been notified of any illness from their product.
