LONDON, June 16 (UPI) -- No more loud drills plunged into the mouths and teeth of those sitting petrified in dental chairs. The painful fillings process may be no more, thanks to a new tooth decay treatment developed by dentists in London.
Currently, tooth decay is remedied by excising the tainted enamel using a drill and scalpel. The cavity is then filled -- hence the term "fillings" -- with amalgam or composite resin.
