WASHINGTON, July 24 (UPI) -- Herbal Give Care LLC is voluntarily recalling Esbelin siloutte te and Esbelin siloutte Herbal Blend with the supplement L-Carnitine, U.S. officials say.
Esbelin siloutte te is a product used as a fat burner, because it claims to remove the fat stored in the body and eliminate it via the urine and preventing its accumulation. It also promoted the proper functioning of the digestive system, government health officials said.
The recall included all lots of the product, which was distributed nationwide to retail customers and online. The UPC code is 7502011000060.
The products contained undeclared Sibutramine, N-Desmethylsibutramine and N-di-Desmethylsibutramine, which might pose a threat to consumers because sibutramine is known to substantially increase blood pressure and/or pulse rate in some patients and may present a significant risk for patients with a history of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias or stroke.
To date, Herbal Give Care LLC has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall, health officials said.
The Esbelin siloutte Herbal Blend with L-Carnitine -- 30 capsules -- is used to help normalize nervous appetite, preventing fat accumulation and fluid retention in tissues. All lots of this product are being recalled.
Consumers can contact Herbal Give Care LLC by calling 972-602-6850 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org Monday- Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Central Standard Time.
Consumers should contact their physician or healthcare provider if they have experienced any problems that may be related to taking or using this drug product, company officials said.
