NEW YORK, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- A U.S. survey indicates the favorite breakfast for the day after Thanksgiving was more turkey.
Seventy-six percent of Americans want to eat leftovers for breakfast the day after Thanksgiving found a survey by the National Milk Mustache "got milk?" Campaign.
Most people want something from Thanksgiving dinner for breakfast the next morning, but the favorite was turkey. The most sought-after leftovers for the next morning were:
-- 68 percent said they wanted turkey.
-- 46 percent said they wanted stuffing.
-- 41 percent said they wanted potato or sweet potato dishes.
-- 35 percent said they wanted pie for breakfast.
-- 32 percent said they wanted vegetables.
-- 30 percent said they wanted cranberries or cranberry sauce.
-- 28 percent said they wanted cornbread.

The Breakfast Project of the National Milk Mustache Campaign suggests a turkey omelet for breakfast.
1 tablespoon low-fat or fat-free milk
Salt and pepper
3 tablespoons leftover cranberry sauce
1.5 teaspoons BBQ Sauce
1.5 teaspoons olive oil
1 quarter cup leftover cooked potatoes, cubed.
1 quarter cup leftover roasted turkey, cubed.
1 green onion, chopped.
1 slice leftover bread.
Optional: leftover gravy.
Optional: leftover stuffing.
Preheat broiler. Beat egg, milk, salt, and pepper together in a small bowl; set aside. Mix cranberry sauce and BBQ sauce together in a second bowl; set aside. Heat oil in an 8-inch ovenproof non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add turkey, potatoes, and bell pepper, and saute until bell pepper is soft, about 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
Pour egg mixture over the turkey mixture and cook gently until egg is set around the edges, carefully running a spatula around the sides periodically to loosen. When the edges are set, place under broiler until top is puffed and cooked. Toast bread. Spread toast with cranberry mixture, then slide the omelet onto the toast.
