Queen seeks 'holistic' nurse in online ad

LONDON, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Royal medical appointments are usually discreet, but the royal Web site says Britain's Queen Elizabeth II is looking for a "holistic" nurse for Windsor Castle.

The Web site said the part-time nurse is expected to "develop, monitor and manage an effective and competent level of holistic nursing care to the royal household, guests at royal functions and, at times, the royal family in residence," the Daily Telegraph reported.

The 20-hour-a-week position pays $25,800 a year.

The candidate must be a registered general nurse, have experience of acute nursing for 15 years, first-aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation skills, occupational health service experience for five years and possess a wide range of clinical nursing skills, the advertisement said.

"Although required to work closely with, and take advice and guidance from the Apothecary to the Royal Household, the post-holder has considerable decision-making authority and is expected to personally resolve most day-to-day matters that may arise," the ad said.
