LONDON, April 18 (UPI) -- Women in Britain can order emergency contraception -- a morning after pill -- via the Internet so it arrives within 2 hours, a medical service provider says.

Amit Khutti, founder of DrEd -- which he described as medical care made more accessible for patients by using technology to remove the need for a face-to-face doctor consultation -- said for $32 women will be able to order the morning after pill by filling out an online form, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The forms, on which users are asked to confirm they are age 18 and older, are assessed by doctors before the pills are dispatched by courier within 2 hours on a working day, Khutti said.

"Emergency contraception works better the sooner you take it, so having it delivered within 2 hours will make it more likely to be effective," Khutti told the Telegraph. "It will arrive at the office in discreet packaging so women won't be embarrassed. Socially, some people are still put off by having to answer questions face to face about why they need emergency contraception."
