NEW YORK, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Seventy-five percent of U.S. married women under 50 said a good sex life with their spouse is very important or extremely important to them, a survey indicated.

Dr. Jennifer Landa, author of "Sex Drive Solution for Women: Dr. Jen's Power Plan to Fire Up Your Libido," said the survey of 1,001 U.S. married women ages 18-49 conducted in January, indicated 49 percent said they had better sex before they had children.

The survey also indicated 34 percent said their kids didn't change their sex lives.

Landa said the survey indicated 38 percent said they and their spouses initiate sex equally, 50 percent said stress reduces their desire to have sex, 49 percent said exhaustion hurts their desire for sex, 39 percent said their children hurt their desire for sex, 34 percent said a lack of romance, 31 percent said arguments and 12 percent said a loss of physical attraction turned them off to sex.

Twelve percent admitted they have had sex with someone other than their husband when married.

Landa is also chief medical officer at BodyLogicMD.
