HILLSBOROUGH, N.C., May 13 (UPI) -- Sixteen percent of U.S. adults say they have sex three to four times a week, while 26 percent say they have sex once or twice a week, a survey indicates.

The Great American Sex Survey, by Adam & Eve, retailers of adult products, indicates 15 percent say they have sex once or twice a month, 7 percent say they have sex every few months, 3 percent say they had sex daily, 3 percent say they have sex only once or twice a year and 1 percent say they enjoyed sex more than once a day.

Eighteen percent say they are not sexually active at this time, while 5 percent say they were still virgins.

The survey, conducted by an independent third party survey company, surveyed 1,000 American adults age 18 and older. No other survey details were provided.
