BANGKOK, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- The Public Health Ministry in Thailand has launched an educational campaign aimed at curbing the spread of AIDS among teenagers.

The White Valentine Design Your Love campaign encourages teenagers to postpone sexual intercourse, the Thai News Agency reported.

The country's Bureau of Epidemiology says in a quarter century, 345,196 residents of Thailand have been infected by the HIV virus and 93,034 have died. Most new infections are expected to occur among teens.

Dr. Somchai Chakrabhand, director-general of the Department of Disease Control, said a tracking study between 2004 and 2007 found a steady increase in the number of sexually active teenagers while the number using condoms did not change.
