LONDON, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- A survey of people in 13 countries suggested people in Britain are the most addicted to fast-food -- edging out the United States by 1 percentage point.
The BBC survey of 9,000 people in 13 nations found that 45 percent of British respondents agreed with the statement: "I like the taste of fast-food too much to give it up," compared to 44 percent of people in the United States, The Daily Telegraph reported Wednesday.
The survey also found that people in France were the most likely to weigh themselves every day, while Singaporeans were the least likely to set foot on a scale.
It said respondents from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates were among the most likely to seek low-fat food products, meal replacements and food supplements. They were also the most likely to use gym memberships and home exercise equipment.
