US Military Matters is a project in development at UPI that will inform and serve the public on matters concerning the US military, Reserve, and National Guard, Veterans, and their families. It will gather the news relevant to the treatment, public perception and welfare of service members and the challenges that they face in areas such as health, particularly recovery from combat, housing and other benefits, and family stresses. It will serve as a portal for those with news and information by, about, and concerning the US Military, as well as, provide a resource for service members to get help and advice in these areas of critical concern to them, and link to a network of organizations public and private that offer support. Finally, it will offer an interactive forum for comment and communication among users of the page where issues of common concern can be discussed.
