LOS ANGELES, April 17 (UPI) -- Actress Jewel Staite is to reunite with her former Firefly co-star Nathan Fillion on his mystery dramedy series Castle.
Showrunners Terence Paul Winter and Alexi Hawley confirmed the casting to TVLine.

Staite will appear in the May 2 episode of the ABC series. She will play the director of a Broadway play whose star is murdered.
"There are some great scenes between her, Nathan and the boys," Winter said. "She came to play; she was really great."
Staite and Fillion took part in a New York Comic-Con panel discussion about Firefly -- a one-season sci-fi series with a cult following -- last October and said they would love to work together again.
