'Real Housewives' star Meghan King Edmonds expecting son

Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King Edmonds is expecting a son with husband Jim Edmonds.

The 33-year-old television personality announced in a blog post Monday that she's pregnant and expecting her second child with the 47-year-old Fox Sports Midwest broadcaster and retired MLB star.

"Aspen is going to be a big sister!" Edmonds wrote of daughter Aspen. "It was so hard for us to keep it a secret from everyone especially since we shared our entire IVF journey with Aspen on RHOC from the very beginning."

"Tonight on the RHOC reunion you'll see that I'm only one month pregnant, but that was filmed five weeks ago: we are now ten weeks pregnant (and I'm feeling every bit of it)!" she added.

Edmonds and Jim, who married in October 2014, welcomed Aspen in November 2016 after conceiving via in vitro fertilization. Edmonds said she and Jim, who is also dad to three other daughters and a son, started the IVF process again over the summer.

"I felt like I handled this IVF much more in stride. I'm not sure if it's because I knew what to expect or if maybe my body was used to the hormones, but it was easier," the star shared.

"Fast forward to today and I am pregnant! I'm not feeling the greatest but we know that it will all be worth it in the end. Aspen will make a fabulous big sister at only a year-and-a-half old in June 2018!" she added.

Edmonds and Jim celebrated Aspen's first birthday Friday. The reality star posted a photo Sunday from her family celebration.

"Happy first birthday to our beautiful baby," she captioned the picture on Instagram.
