Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Roman Reigns returned to The Shield and to in-ring action Monday on Raw after being out for weeks due to an illness.

The Big Dog rejoined his Shield brothers Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose to kick off Raw as The Hounds of Justice interrupted Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon as she verbally laid into general manager Kurt Angle.

McMahon was upset at the Olympic gold medalist for selecting his son Jason Jordan to the red brand's mens Survivor Series team and for failing to prevent Smackdown Live's The New Day from invading their show a second time which led to Rollins and Ambrose losing their Raw Tag Team Championships to Sheamus and Cesaro.

As McMahon was seemingly about to fire Angle, The Shield dropped in and defended Angle as a leader. The trio then issued a challenge to The New Day at Survivor Series which was later accepted. The match will be pitting two of the WWE's most successful and formidable teams against each other.

The Shield returned later in the night to face off against Cesaro and Shamus alongside Intercontinental Championship The Miz in a match that ended with Reigns pinning the A-Lister after teaming up with Rollins and Ambrose to deliver the group's signature Triple Powerbomb.

Raw also featured the return of WWE COO Triple H who also confronted Angle about his chances against Team Smackdown at Survivor Series. The King of Kings made his presence known after Angle appeared undecided about cutting Jordan from the team after he was injured in a match with Bray Wyatt.

Triple H then took over the situation and nominated himself to join Team Raw in Jordan's place before delivering a Pedigree to Angle's son. Raw's mens team now consists of Angle, Triple H, Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe and Finn Balor who will be taking on Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura and John Cena of Team Smackdown at Survivor Series on Nov. 19.

Survivor Series will also feature Universal Champion Brock Lesnar taking on the top title holder from Smackdown AJ Styles who recently defeated Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship.

Lesnar was on hand Monday to address his new opponent alongside his advocate Paul Heyman who promised that Styles could not handle The Beast.

"AJ Styles you can't survive Suplex City, you can't survive the onslaught of The Beast, you can't survive the onslaught of the conqueror, you can't survive the F5," Heyman said passionately.

Other moments from Raw included Strowman delivering a Running Powerslam to his rival Kane that sent the Big Red Machine through the ring; Balor and Joe teaming up to defeat Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson; WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore and Drew Gulak defeating Kalisto and Akira Tozawa; and Bayley defeating Mickie James and Dana Brooke to become the fifth member of the Raw women's team at Survivor Series.

The Raw Women's team now consists of Alicia Fox, Asuka, Nia Jax, Sasha Banks and Bayley who will be taking on the likes of Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Tamina, Naomi and Ms. Money in the Bank Carmella of Smackdown.
