"You asked for him! New Music Session with @mrgrabeel!! This one is so special to me and we did it just for you guys," Tisdale, who posts "Music Session" videos on YouTube each month, told her 9.3 million Instagram followers.

The High School Musical stars confessed in the video that they initially didn't get along on set, but said they grew to "love" each other. Tisdale later explained on Twitter that they recorded the video in response to current events.

"Life can be tough. The news can be hard to digest. My love for being a performer/actor is to take you out of anything you are going through and put a smile on your face. Spreading light and love," the actress said.

"I can't tell you how many comments I've gotten today on the new Music Session with Lucas saying 'they needed this.' That means so much to me. I do this for you guys and the fact I can bring you joy in a world that can be harsh is my greatest accomplishment," she added.
