Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Melanie Lynskey recently got engaged to longtime love Jason Ritter.
The 39-year-old New Zealand actress announced her engagement to the 36-year-old American actor on Thursday's episode of Hollywood Today Live.
"Now he's my fiancé," Lynskey said when asked about her "boyfriend." "I'm announcing it."
"[Jason proposed] on the sofa," she added with a laugh. "No, [I didn't know it was coming. We've been together] about four years. We did a movie together."
Lynskey and Ritter have co-starred in The Big Ask (2013), We'll Never Have Paris (2014) and The Intervention (2016). The actress dedicated a sweet post to Ritter on Valentine's Day this week.
"ONLY because it's Valentine's Day @jasonritter," she captioned a gif of two dinosaurs kissing.
Lynskey was previously married to American actor Jimmi Simpson from 2007 to 2014. She is known for playing Rose on Two and a Half Men and Michelle on Togetherness, and will star in The Changeover with Lucy Lawless.
Ritter, the son of late Three's Company star John Ritter, portrayed Sean on The Event and Mark on Parenthood. He presently stars on Another Period, and is also slated for The Tale with Elizabeth Debicki.
