Hilary Duff, Matthew Koma make red carpet debut as couple

Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma made their red carpet debut as a couple in Los Angeles.

The 29-year-old actress and the "Kisses Back" singer and DJ, also 29, attended the Entertainment Weekly pre-Screen Actors Guild Awards party at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood on Sunday.

Duff and Koma both wore all-black ensembles, with the actress in a long-sleeve dress with a thigh-high slit and the DJ in a blazer, pants and patterned shirt. The pair posed for photos before enjoying cocktails inside the event, E! News reported.

The Younger star and Koma were first linked this month after a getaway to Santa Barbara, Calif. Us Weekly reported the pair first met when they collaborated on the actress' 2015 album, Breathe In. Breathe Out.

"They had great chemistry in the studio. Hilary thinks Matt is very talented and cute," a source told the magazine. "[The romance is] pretty recent. They're seeing where it goes."

The pre-SAG Awards party follows Duff's split from boyfriend Jason Walsh in December after less than a year of dating. She recently opened up about her love life in the February issue of Cosmopolitan.

"I've never been a good dater. I meet, like, one person a year that I'm maybe attracted to," the star said. "I never want to be that girl who's desperate to find a mate."

Duff was previously married to Mike Comrie, and shares 4-year-old son Luca with the retired NHL player. She plays Kelsey Peters on Younger, which will return for a fourth season on TV Land in the summer.
