A&E reviving 'Cold Case Files' with 10 new episodes and Danny Glover as narrator

A&E Network says it is reviving its true-crime series, Cold Case Files.

The new version of the show will premiere on Feb. 27, with actor and humanitarian Danny Glover narrating. The first season of the re-boot will include 10 episodes.

  "Cold Case Files remains one of A&E's most beloved and successful series of all time," Elaine Frontain Bryant, executive vice president and head of programming for A&E, said in a statement Thursday. "The new creative team has infused the franchise with a rejuvenated approach to storytelling at a time when true-crime investigation is capturing the nation's attention more than ever."

  The original Cold Case Files spanned 125 episodes and aired on A&E 1998-08.
